Respondent PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India to direct the Hon'ble III Additional Family Court at Chennai to dispose the O.P.No.2465 of 2011 pending before it within a stipulate period of time. For Petitioner :

O R D E R

This civil revision petition is filed praying for a direction to the III Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the O.P.No.2465 of 2011 within the stipulated period of time.

2. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought and the order, which this Court intends to pass in the civil revision petition, there is no need to issue notice to the respondent, as she is not going to be prejudiced in any manner.

3. The petitioner filed O.P.No.2465 of 2011 against the respondent for dissolution of the marriage held on 14.02.2003. Earlier, the petitioner filed O.P.No.519 of 2005 for the same relief and after their re-union, the petition was dismissed as withdrawn. In the present original petition, the respondent filed her counter and on 08.12.2012 , P.W.1 was examined in chief and for non- crossexamination of P.W.1, the III Additional Family Court closed the evidence of P.W.1 on 18.09.2014. Thereafter, the III Additional Family Court reopened the case on the application filed by the respondent and posted for cross examination of P.W.1.

4. Mr.K.Balasubramaniam, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that even though an opportunity was given to the respondent, she is not interested to get orders on merit, and she has been unnecessarily taking adjournment.

Considering the facts, the III Additional Family Court, Chennai is directed to dispose of the O.P.2465 of 2011 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
