S.Lakshmi .. Respondent Civil Revision Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai to dispose of O.P.No.740 of 2011 within the time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
For petitioner : Ms.M.Shanmujga Priya
ORDER
The husband in a matrimonial dispute is seeking earlier disposal of O.P. filed in the year 2011.
2. A perusal of records shows that earlier, O.P.No.740 of 2011 was allowed ex-parte, dissolving the marriage between the parties. However, subsequently, on an application filed by the wife, it was set aside on 24.02.2016. They have also filed fresh proof affidavits. Thereafter, the efforts taken before the mediators also failed, which went upto August
2016. From then onwards, the matter has only been adjourned time and again. Hence, the petitioner-husband has knocked at the doors of this Court for speedy disposal. Considering the plight of the petitioner that he was granted decree earlier, which was however set aside at the instance of the wife, the trial Court is directed to dispose of the said O.P. as expeditiously as possible, however not later than 30.04.2017.
3. With the above direction, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
