ORDER
By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Mr Mr.K.Dhananjayan, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. The petitioner was appointed as a Junior Assistant on compassionate ground and she joined the said post on 26.03.1990 and her services were regularised with effect from 26.03.1990 vide G.O.[2D] No.75, School Education Department dated 16.10.1997 and her probation was also successfully declared with effect from 31.12.1998. The petitioner would further aver that after completion of ten years of service, she was conferred with selection grade in the said cadre of Junior Assistant with effect from 26.03.2000 and Special Grade with effect from 26.03.2010 and at present, she is working as Special Grade Junior Assistant in the respondent / School.
The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that the Finance [Pay Cell] Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, vide Letter No.63305/Finance [Pay Cell]/2010-1 dated 08.11.2010, had issued orders, granting selection grade and special grade scales of pay https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.
and as per the Annexure No.I, the petitioner ought to have been granted Rs.4200/- as Grade Pay in the Scale of Pay at Rs.930034800/- with effect from 01.01.2006 ; but she was granted Rs.2400/- as Grade Pay only with effect from 01.01.2006 in the Selection Grade and Rs.2800/- as Grade Pay in the Special Grade with effect from 26.03.2010 and in this regard, she made very many representations and last of such representation was made on 14.12.2016 to the respondent and though it was received and acknowledged on the same day, no orders have been passed and hence, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition.
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Dhananjayan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.
Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 14.12.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
