This Contempt Petition has been filed by the writ petitioner seeking to punish the respondents for not complying with the order of the Court dated 14.07.2022 passed in W.P.No.10436 of 2022.

2. Mr.E.Vijay Anand, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted a proceedings dated 06.12.2022 issued by the Block Development Officer, Kattankulathur Panchayat Union in Na.Ka.No.3651/2022/Aa1, wherein it has been stated that funds have been alloted for the construction of drains to Alapakkam in Alapakkam Panchayat at Kattankolathur Panchayat Union periodically in phases and using the same, the respondents will conclude the entire project within a reasonable time.

3. Considering the proceedings dated 06.12.2022 submitted by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Court is of the opinion that nothing survives for further adjudication in this contempt petition. Accordingly, the Contempt Petition stands closed. Meanwhile, this Court directs the respondents to carry out the remaining work within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, connected sub application also stands closed.
