The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus forbearing the 2nd respondent from preventing/disturbing the petitioner's avocation of plying Vikram Tempo Vehicle bearing Registration No.PY-01-M 4133 as per the permit dated 21.08.2015 granted by the 1st respondent in all motorable roads including the stretch between Ayyamkutti Palayam and Raja Theatre of the Union Territory of Pondicherry. 2.The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition based on the permit issued by the 1st respondent dated 21.08.2015 for plying the vehicle during the period from 25.09.2015 to 24.09.2020.

3.Mr.B.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the period specified in the permit dated 21.08.2015 has expired on 24.09.2020 and therefore, the prayer sought for in the Writ Petition cannot be granted.

4.I fully agree with the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 5.As rightly contended by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the period for which the permit was granted has expired on 24.09.2020 and hence, no mandamus can be issued based on the said permit. In view of the same, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
