..Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents herein to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.01.2026 seeking for a transfer from Sivagangai District to Dharmapuri District or any other nearby
place sympathetically by taking into consideration health condition of his mother and pass orders.

ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to direct the respondents herein to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.01.2026, seeking transfer from Sivagangai District to Dharmapuri District or to any other nearby District.
2. The petitioner is the native of Dharmapuri District and his family resides there. Though the petitioner's initial appointment was as Assistant Director in the office of Local Fund Audit, Dharmapuri on 06.10.2010, he was promoted to the post of Inspector in 2024 and now working at Local Fund Audit, Sivagangai District. The petitioner would submit that his mother was 85 years old and was suffering from Adeno Carcinoma Grade-II. The petitioner's mother requires a constant treatment in the very same hospital at Dharmapuri, and the petitioner is the only person to care of her. Since the petitioner is stationed at Sivagangai, he is unable to take care of his mother. The distance between Sivagangai and Dharmapuri is 350 kms. Therefore, the petitioner had submitted a representation on 12.01.2026 to the 1st respondent, seeking transfer
to Dharmapuri or to any other nearby place. Since the same was not considered to date, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that every year in the month of July, a general counselling would take place and that the petitioner's request would be considered during the counselling.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and also perused the materials placed on record.
5. Taking into account the debilitating illness that the petitioner's mother is suffering from, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner sympathetically on a war footing and pass orders at the earliest.
