ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to file final report in Crime No.502 of 2018 pending on the file of first respondent.

2. Heard Mr.B.Dayaalan, learned counsel appearing for petitioners and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that though the first respondent has registered a case in the above said crime number on 07.10.2018, no final report is filed till date.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of four weeks.

5. In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to either 2/4

file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the de facto complainant.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
