ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- "directing the 3rd respondent to examine verify the closing Balance amount of Rs.20,09,477/- in the Account of the petitioner and settle the General Provident fund balance amount of Rs.3,03,562/-immediately, based on his representation dated 8.12.2025 within a reasonable period."
2. The petitioner's case is that he had retired from service as a Joint Director of School Education on 31.07.2009. Subsequently, on 27.10.2022, a sum of Rs.17,05,915/- was released to him towards the final settlement of his General Provident Fund (GPF) account. However, as per the closing balance reflected on the website of the 3rd respondent, the amount standing to the credit of the petitioner's GPF account is Rs.20,09,477/-. Thus, there exists a discrepancy of Rs.3,03,562/- between the amount actually disbursed and the amount shown as the closing balance.

The petitioner would submit that in order to rectify the said discrepancy and to sanction and disburse the balance amount of Rs.3,03,562/-, he had submitted several representations to the respondents. However, despite the lapse of considerable time, the respondents have neither taken any action nor considered the petitioner's representations. Aggrieved by the inaction of the respondents, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

Considering the limited relief claimed by the petitioner and taking note of the fact that the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2025 has not been considered to date, the Writ Petition is allowed. The 3rd respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2025 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
