By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission itself.
2. This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to pay petitioner the enhanced compensation with all other benefits in the light of the decree and judgment dated 21.03.2017 passed by the learned Additional Subordinate Judge, Chengalpattu in LAOP No.8 of 2015 by disposing of petitioner's representation dated 07.08.2023.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
4. The case of the petitioner is that the land of the petitioner had been acquired by the Government for the purpose of formation of I.T. Corridor Expressway and widening the existing Old Mahabalipuram Road into six lane Page 2/5
and compensation has also been awarded. As higher compensation has been fixed to the similar land owners, the petitioner has made a representation dated 09.08.2023 to the respondents. However, the same has not been considered by them. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
5. Considering the limited relief sought for in the writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 07.08.2023 and pass Orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
