ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to conduct re-examination of the M.E. third semester exam for the subject of Product Design and Manufacturing (Subject code P19END601) to the petitioner (Reg.No.61781921206004) which was already conducted on 25.02.2023 on which date the petitioner attended TNPSC Group-II Main Exam instead of marking the petitioner as absent or arrear based on the e-mail representation dated 24.02.2023 made 2/6

to the respondents.

2. Mr.V.Elangovan, appears for learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice for the respondents. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

It is the case of the petitioner that she completed B.E.Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) in the year 2021 and she joined Master degree in Power System Engineering (EEE) Department at Sona College of Technology, Salem. The petitioner has attended TNPSC Group - II preliminary exam on 21.05.2022 and successfully completed the exam. Thereafter, TNPSC Group-II Main examination was scheduled on 25.02.2023. In the mean time, the M.E.third semester exam for the subject of Product Design and Manufacturing was also scheduled on the same day ie.,25.02.2023, for which the petitioner made a representation dated 24.02.2023, before the respondents 2, 4 and 5 narrating the aforesaid facts and requested them to attend both the TNPSC Group II main examination and semester examination without being marked as absent. Thereafter, the 3/6

petitioner preferred to write the TNPSC examination and did not attend the M.E.Semester exam conducted on 25.02.2023, for which she was marked as absent. Hence, the present writ petition.

Though very many grounds have been raised in the present writ petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2023 and pass appropriate orders within the time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. On the above contentions, heard learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2023 on merits and in accordance with law and after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as aggrieved persons if any within a period 4/6

of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
