These Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions have been filed to suspend the sentence imposed on the petitioner and to exempt him from surrendering before the Trial Court pursuant to the judgment dated 05.02.2026 passed in C.A.No.55 of 2023 by the IV Additional District and Sessions Judge, Coimbatore, confirming the judgment dated 01.02.2023 passed in S.C.No.57 of 2015 on the file of the learned Assistant Sessions Judge, Pollachi, pending disposal of the above criminal revision and enlarge the petitioner on bail.

2. The learned Government Advocate strongly opposed these petitions on the ground that there are three accused in this case and that the petitioner 2 / 4

was sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment by the Trial Court, which was confirmed by the First Appellate Court.

3. Considering the nature of allegations levelled against the petitioner and the concurrent finding by the two Courts, and serious nature of offences, the question of granting suspension of sentence and does not arise.
