ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the 3rd respondent to conduct an enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner and submit a report to the 1st respondent to take appropriate action as against the 5th respondent. 2.The petitioner lodged a complaint on 30.12.2025 before the 1st and 2nd respondents alleging that her daughter, who is working as a Police Constable in the All Women Police Station, Karaikal, has been sexually assaulted by the 5th respondent herein. In view of the said complaint, the 3rd respondent Internal Complaint Committee was formed, who had conducted an enquiry, but had not submitted the report till date. Aggrieved against the same, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.The learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 submitted that on receipt of complaint from the petitioner, investigation is being conducted and hence, they would require some time to complete the same and file a report.

4.In view of the aforesaid submission, the 3rd respondent Committee is directed to complete the enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner and submit a report to the 1st respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the report from the 3rd respondent, the 1st respondent is directed to take appropriate action against the 5th respondent in accordance with law.
