By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner claims that he is permanently residing in Door No.1/33, Alamarathupatty Village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District and he submitted an application for issuance of Family Card, to the second respondent and since nothing has fructified so far, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mr.Rm.Muthukumar, learned Government Advocate, who accepted notice for the respondents.

4.Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the facts and circumstances of the case, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 9.7.2014, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
