ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.10.2025 and to further direct the respondents to transfer the petitioner to any office near or within Chidambaram town.

2. The petitioner would submit that he is a physically challenged person suffering from 91% hearing impairment. He was appointed as a Technical Assistant in Annamalai University on 01.04.2004. Subsequently, by order dated 15.02.2020, he was deputed to the Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri, for a period of three years. According to the petitioner, he has been making several representations requesting the respondents to transfer him to any place near or within Chidambaram town, considering his disability and personal difficulties. Since the said

representations have not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 4.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner is a physically challenged person, the 3rd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.10.2025 in the light of the letter of the Chief Secretary to Government in Letter (Ms) No.92/S/2009 dated 22.07.2009 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
