The present criminal original petition has been filed to to direct the trial court to conclude the trial in C.C.No.404 of 2014 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Tiruppur and dispose the case within 3 months.

2. The petitioners are the accused in C.C.No.404 of 2014 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Tiruppur for the offences under sections 294(b), 323 and 506(ii) IPC. The said case is posted for trial in the month of July 2014 and for the past 18 months there is no progress in the trial of the case. Hence, the petitioners have come forward with the present criminal original petition.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. As this case is of the year 2014, I am not inclined to give any direction by fixing any specific time for completing the trial.

5. Considering the submissions on either side, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Tiruppur, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.404 of 2014 and dispose of the case as early as possible.

6. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
