Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue
a Writ of Ceritorarified Mandamus to call for all the records pertaining to letter No.CENTAC/ ADMN/ PETITION/ REPLY/ 2017-18/36 dated 5-8-2017 and quash the same as unlawful and illegal and further issue a Writ or Order or Direction directing the 1st respondent to admit the petitioner in MBBS course under Freedom Fighter Category for the academic year 2017-18. This writ petition is filed challenging the proceedings blocking eight seats based on the interim directions issued by this Court in W.P.Nos.14825, 16230, 16231 and 22350 of 2017.
2. Since this Court has dismissed those writ petitions by way of a separate order passed today (29.08.2017) and vacated the interim order passed therein, there cannot be any grievance for the petitioner any more insofar as blocking of those seats. However, insofar as the second limb of the prayer,
namely, seeking for a direction to the first respondent to admit the petitioner to MBBS course under the Freedom Fighter Category is concerned, it is for the first respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner on its own merits and in accordance with the procedure for admission under the said Freedom Fighter category for the academic year 2017-2018 and decide .
