The writ petition has been filed seeking mandamus directing the Respondent herein to dispose the appeal filed by the Petitioner under Rule 24 of the Tamil Nadu Village Panchayat Secretaries (Service Conditions) Rules, 2023
dated 21.07.2025 within a stipulated time.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner was appointed as a Panchayat Assistant in Arasur Village Panchayat in the year 2005 and later, was transferred to Thookanaickanpalayam Panchayat Union. Therefore, the petitioner preferred a statutory appeal before the respondent, which was not disposed of till date and therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 04.12.2025 before the respondent, for which, there is no response till date. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Considering the relief now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.12.2025 and dispose of the appeal on merits and in accordance with law and by passing appropriate orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a
