Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the 2nd respondent.

Being satisfied with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed along with the petition, the delay of 699 days in filing the appeal is condoned.

It is made clear that petitioners are not entitled to claim interest for the delay period of 699 days on the enhanced award amount, in case of their success in the appeal.

Registry is directed to number the civil miscellaneous appeal, if it is otherwise in order. Registry is directed to print the name of Mr.R.Ravichandran, counsel for the 2nd respondent at the time of admission.
