ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.I.Arockiasamy, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondent/contemnor.

A perusal of the purported order of compliance dated 23.02.2017 passed by the respondent/ contemnor would disclose among other things that though, in Para 5, the said official reached the conclusion that Mr.P.Raj Kumar, on the basis of the cancelled General Power of Attorney dated 08.04.1998 has done some mischief in the form of sale, cancelled the patta only in respect of 592 Sq.mt and directed the plaintiff to initiate the proceedings before the Civil Court in respect of Survey Nos.370B/5 and 370B/2B1B and also directed the Tahsildar, Arakonam, to take appropriate steps.

In the light of the said proceedings, the Tahsildhar, Arakonam is directed to take immediate and appropriate steps and if required, may also lodge a criminal complaint against the said person and if the petitioner is so advised, he is also at liberty to lodge a criminal complaint against the concerned individual for the alleged fabrication done by him.

This contempt petition is closed subject to above observations.
