The Civil Revision Petition is filed seeking direction to the Learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai, to dispose of O.P.No.4844 of 2013 in a time frame.
2. The case of the petitioner is that she is a foreigner under the Foreigners Act, 1946 and a citizen of Iran. She has come down to India to undergo her studies in the Dental College at Chennai, was lured by the respondent on the pretext of love affair and married her on 11.11.2012. Both the petitioner and the respondent were on the verge of completion of their Post Graduation. On 21.04.2013, the petitioner and the respondent left to Iran to the petitioner's parents' place and
came back to India on 22nd June and began their matrimonial home from June 22nd at Chennai. Immediately thereafter, the respondent started demanding dowry and also, threatened the petitioner. Since the petitioner and her parents could not immediately meet out the demands of the respondent and his parents, the petitioner lodged a complaint and thereafter, the respondent deserted the petitioner on 27.06.2013.
3. Mrs.R.Maheswari, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a Foreigner and due to the harassment and illegal act of the respondent, she underwent much hardship and taking advantage of the fact, the respondent is prolonging the litigation.
4. Considering the facts of this case, the learned III Additional Judge, Family Court, Chennai, shall dispose of O.P.No.4844 of 2013 on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.
