Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to revise the inter-se-seniority of Assistant Engineers who were initially appointed as Assistant Engineers in the proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 24.11.1998 based on the marks they scored in their selection by the 3rd respondent with effect from the year of their joining the service by extending the judgment of this Hon'ble Court dated 31.03.2015 passed in W.A.No.2705 of 2012 etc., batches and confirmed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in their orders dated 22.01.2016 within a time frame and accordingly, based on such revised seniority to consider and promote afresh the petitioners and other Assistant Engineers of the petitioners' batch to the category of Assistant Executive Engineer, Executive Engineer, Superintending Engineer and Chief Engineer replacing the already temporarily promoted Assistant Executive Engineers, Executive
Engineer/Superintending Engineer/ and Chief Engineers, who all were promoted from the Assistant Engineers appointed by the 2nd respondent in the proceedings dated 24.11.1998. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioners seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the writ petition and she has submitted a letter dated 26.04.2022 before the Registry and also made an endorsement to that effect.
