ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to remove petitioner name from the Rowdy History Sheet No.7 of 2020 maintained by the 3rd respondent police pursuant to petitioner's representation dated 25.11.2022.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was branded as history sheeter and for removal of the same, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondents Police on 25.11.2022, however the same was not considered. Hence, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that, it would suffice, if the 3rd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 25.11.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 25.11.2022 in terms of 747 and 748 of Police Standing Orders and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
