Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to direct the 2nd respondent to produce the petitioner' daughter Durga Devi, daughter of Murugesan, aged about 23 years, before this Court from the illegal custody of the third respondent herein and set her at liberty.

ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the 2nd respondent to produce the petitioner' daughter Durga Devi, daughter of Murugesan, aged about 23 years, before this Court from the illegal custody of the third respondent herein and set her at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Durga Devi, aged about 23 years, went missing from 03.04.2021 and that she is in the illegal custody of the third respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Today, Mr.Elangovan, Sub-Inspector of Police, H-5, New Washermenpet Police Station, produced Durga Devi from the said police station via video conference.

When enquired by us, Durga Devi stated that her date of birth is 11.05.1998 and that she is aged about 23 years. She further stated that she is not in the illegal custody of anyone and she got married to the third respondent Abinesh on 29.04.2021 and is living with him at Door No.3, Iyapakkam, Gayathri Nagar, Ambattur, Chennai.
