Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records in D.O.No.27/2022-C2 passed by the second respondent dated 28.03.2022 and set aside the same and directing the respondents to produce the detenue viz., Santhi, W/o.Sampath, aged about 53 years, who is now detained in the Special Prison for Women, Vellore, before this Court and set the detenue at liberty forthwith. ORDER

(Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.) The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in D.O.No.27/2022-C2 dated 28.03.2022 detaining his mother as "Bootlegger", as contemplated under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenue has been revoked by the Government

by its order in G.O.Rt.No.3587, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 14.06.2022 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
