Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to suspend the sentence imposed on judgement dated 09.10.2017 in CC.No.79/2011 (old C.C.No.05/2010) on the file the Special Court for the cases under Prevention of corruption act, at Chennai and enlarge this petitioner/appellant on bail, pending disposal of appeal in Crl.A.No.668 of 2017.

Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.C.SIVAKUMAR, Advocate for the petitioner and of [PUBLIC PROSECUTOR] on behalf of the Respondents the court made the following order:- This is a petition filed by the petitioner seeking suspension of sentence pending appeal.

2. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. Upon hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is inclined to suspend the sentence.

4. Accordingly, the substantive sentence of imprisonment alone is suspended pending appeal and the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the Special Court for the Cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act at Chennai-104 and on further condition that the petitioner shall

report before the Trial Court on every first working day of the month until further orders.
