Mr.M.Jothikumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 04.11.2017 and 06.11.2017 wherein and whereby he has sought for issuance of patta in respect of the property situated at S.No.214 Vasanthapuram Village and Door No.1/97.

3. Heard both sides.

4. According to the petitioner, he is in possession and enjoyment of the property for a long number of years, based on certain sale deeds executed as early as in the years 1971 and 1972.

This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as it is for the second respondent to consider and decide the same on its own merits and in accordance with law. Therefore, this Writ Petition is disposed of only with a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the representations of the petitioner dated 04.11.2017 and 06.11.2017 on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
