ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner herein, who was arrested on 17.03.2022 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 489-B and 201 of IPC, in Crime No.176 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The petitioner herein while attempted to purchase the liquor giving fake two notes of Rs.200/- was apprehended by the Salesman of the TASMAC shop and general public. They handed over the petitioner/accused to the respondent police. Based on the information given by this petitioner and on further investigation, the police has conducted search, arrested Jainshah and recovered fake currency of face value of Rs.40,000/-, Syed Geoullah was arrested and recovered fake currency of face value of Rs.76,500/-. Subsequently one Raju was arrested and Rs.50,000/- fake currency was recovered and one Prabu was arrested and fake currency of face value of Rs.70,000/- was recovered. All the persons were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Investigation is pending for the offence under Sections 341, 294(b), 499(a)(b)(c)(d) and 506(i) of IPC.

3.Investigation conducted indicates that fake currency being manufactured by one Raghu @ Raghupathy (A7), who was arrested by the Pondicherry Police for the similar offence and he is in judicial custody, through A5 Raju and his son A8 Ebinazer absconding accused and through other accused persons distributing the fake currency and passing it as of original. The 8th accused is still at large and yet to be arrested.
4.Considering the facts and the gravity of the offence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
