ORDER

The revision is filed seeking for a direction to number and dispose of I.A. filed by the petitioner under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act for interim maintenance by the wife in the Divorce petition filed by the husband and she also seeks direction to dispose of the I.A. filed by her for the relief

under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. It is stated that the said applications were filed as early as in September/October 2016, but the same are yet to be numbered, as the parties are referred for reconciliation proceedings. Even the reconciliation proceedings may go on, but the application for interim maintenance has to be attended to immediately. Therefore, the learned Second Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai, is directed to number the said I.A. filed for interim maintenance and pass appropriate orders, after affording an opportunity of hearing to both sides and on merits and in accordance with law, however, not beyond 30.04.2017. The I.A. filed for the relief under the said Domestic Violence Act, shall be decided after the reconciliation proceedings. With this direction, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs. C.M.P. is closed.
