The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation made on 01.12.2015 regarding not to disturb his peaceful possession enjoyment of the land and also direct the third and fourth respondents to allot alternative land available in the Village for burial ground.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is in occupation of hill poromboke land for more than 45 years and he approached the Authorities for issuance of patta and while such claim is pending, the Village Administrative Officer tried to convert the said land as burial ground and objecting the same 2/4

the petitioner made representation on 01.12.2015 and since the same has not yet been considered, filed this writ petition. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner further submitted that after a lapse of nearly 7 years, the representation made by the petitioner would have become infructuous. Hence, this Court may grant liberty to the petitioner to pursue his remedy for issuance of patta before the Revenue Officials. 4.In view of the above, this writ petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to pursue his remedy for issuance of patta before the Revenue Officials. No costs.
