ORDER
(The Order of the Court was made by The Honourable Chief Justice) The Writ Petition has been filed to seek direction for consideration of the representation of the petitioner, dated 04.03.2021.
2. A perusal of the representation shows certain claim of service benefits from the year 1979 onwards. The claim in that regard has been made by a detailed representation after lapse of more than 40 years without justifying the delay. Such belated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
claim or representation sent by him, is untenable, rather, it suffers from latches. The delay in this matter remains unexplained. Therefore, the direction sought by the petitioner for consideration of the representation for the claim made after expiry of four decades i.e., more than 40 years, cannot be entertained and that too, the petitioner retired 20 years back and claiming benefits as were made, was without any protest.
3. In view of the above, the direction to consider the claim made by the petitioner after lapse of 40 years, cannot be entertained and accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as it suffers from latches.
