O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct the Inspector of Police, SRMC Police Station, Chennai, not to harass the petitioner herein on the pretext of enquiry by misusing their official power in interfering with the civil matter by aiding the second and third respondents herein in any manner in future.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

3. It is represented by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that on a complaint given by one Shankar, a petition enquiry is pending against the petitioner.

4. In view of the above, the respondent Police is directed not to harass the petitioner. The petitioner shall co-operate in the enquiry. During the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

is made out, the respondent police is free to register an FIR and this order shall not be a shield for the petitioner against arrest.

5. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
