Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.01.2025 to subdivide the S.No.1242/2 and remove the name of the 7th respondent in all the revenue records including patta in respect of the property land measuring an extent of 1 acre 10 cents in S.No.1242/2 at Ayaranapalli Village, Hosur Taluk, Rayakottai Sub Registration District, Krishnagiri District and issue new separate patta in the petitioner's name and in the names of other legal heirs within a stipulated period of time. O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 2 to 4, particularly, the second respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 28.01.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking for carrying out necessary corrections in the revenue records and for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner.

2. Heard Mr.J.Ramesh, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 4.

3. The specific case of the petitioner is that he was the owner of the property measuring an extent of 2.50 acres. Out of the total extent, the petitioner had sold 1.40 acres and he had retained 1.10 acres. However, patta has been issued in the name of the seventh respondent for an extent of 2.40 acres. Under such circumstances, the petitioner made a representation seeking for correction in the revenue records and for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner for an extent of 1.10 acres. 3/6

Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to deal with the petitioner's representation dated 28.01.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law after affording opportunity to respondents 5 to 8 and final orders shall be passed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
