O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for the alleged willful disobedience of the order issued by this Court on 26.08.2015 in Crl.OP.No.19125 of 2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. Today, when the matter was called, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ Mr.V.Mohandas, Inspector of Police, Jalagandapuram Police Station, Salem District, is present.

4. In Crl.O.P.No.19125 of 2016, this Court had passed the following order:- "3. Taking into consideration the nature of allegations in the FIR, no time bound order to complete the investigation can be passed. However, the respondent police is directed to investigate and file a Final Report or a Closure Report as the case may be, expeditiously, under due intimation to the de facto complainant."

5. From a reading of the above, it could be seen that this Court has not issued any direction to the respondent police to complete the enquiry within a time bound manner. The order itself has been passed only on 26.08.2016 and it has been made ready only on 16.09.2016, as it could be seen from the Court seal. Without even giving sufficient time to the police to act, this contempt application has been filed before this Court on 16.11.2016.

6. In view of the above, this Court does not find any merit to issue statutory notice to the respondent. Hence, this Contempt Petition is dismissed.
