Heard the submissions made by Mr.R.Sunil Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record. 2.This Civil Revision Petition is filed praying for a direction to dispose of H.R.C.O.P.No.23 of 2007 pending on the file of the learned Rent

Controller, Puducherry.

3.The petitioner/landlord has filed H.R.C.O.P.No.23 of 2007 against the respondent/tenant seeking eviction on the ground of wilful default. The case of the landlord is that the tenant is not paying rent from the year 2006 onwards and in spite of the order dated 10.04.2014 passed by this Court in C.R.P.(PD) No.3409 of 2013, the tenant has not paid rent to the tune of Rs.2,33,750/- as on 06.06.2014.

4.Mr.R.Sunil Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the delay in disposal of the Original Petition causes hardship and mental agony to the petitioner. It is further submitted that the respondent / tenant is a chronic defaulter and without paying rent, he is squatting on the petition property since 2006.

5.Considering the facts of the case and the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Rent Controller, Puducherry is directed to dispose of H.R.C.O.P.No.23 of 2007, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably on or before 31.07.2015. 6.This Civil Revision Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
