Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to pass appropriate order thereon within a time frame sanctioning Family Pension to the petitioner's with effect from 01.10.1983 and disburse the arrears thereof with interest by adjusting the Ex-Gratia amount paid to the petitioner.

Heard both sides. By consent of both the parties the writ petition is taken up for final disposal and disposed of in view of the narrow prayer made during the hearing of the writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The prayer in the writ petition is for a direction to the first respondent to pass orders within a time frame sanctioning family pension to the petitioner with effect from 01.10.1983 and to disburse the arrears with interest by adjusting the Ex-Gratia amount paid to the petitioner.

3.However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if the recommendation made by the third respondent namely, The Director of Agriculture in Letter No.Aa.O.A2/45626/14 dated 24.09.2014 to the Government relating to family pension is considered by the Government on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders thereon within a time frame. 4.In view of such prayer made, a direction is issued to the Government to pass orders on the proposal of the third respondent namely, The Director of Agriculture in foj vz;/MxV2-45626/14 dated 24.09.2014 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
