Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioners representations dt 10.3.2015 30.4.2015 and 4.5.2015 and thereby direct the respondents to grant surety loan to the 43 members of the petitioners society list of members in the writ petition without any further delay.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be the President of petitioner society and according to him, as on date, there are 500 employees working in the Municipalities of Tambaram, Pallavaram, Alandur, Pammal and Anagaputhur and loan amounts were granted to the employees only in the event of permission being granted by the 1st respondent.

3. The petitioner would further state that the petitioner society has obtained loan of Rs.30,22,015/- from the 1st Respondent society as loan/surety loan to be given to the members of the petitioner society. The petitioner and other office bearers after assuming office found that 43 applications submitted by the members have to be forwarded to the 1st respondent for sanctioning loan to the members to the tune of Rs.1,68,50,000/- and requested the 1st respondent to sanction the loan and also submitted representations dated 10.03.2015, 30.04.2015 and 04.05.2015, in this regard and since, no response is forthcoming, came forward to file this writ petition.

4. Heard the submissions of Mr.M.V.Muralidaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Venkatachalam, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondents.

5. Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of this case and without going into the merits of the representation, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representations dated 10.03.2015, 30.04.2015 and 04.05.2015 submitted by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner.

6. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
