ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the representation dated 22.02.2024 for taking action against office bearers for misappropriation of contributions in the name of Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act 1975 within the time fixed by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.G.Murugendran learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned counsel appearing for the respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is that as the accounts of the Besant Nagar Club were not filed before the first respondent for several years, 2/5

the club has been dissolved vide Tamil Nadu Gazettee Notification No.46 dated 23.11.2016. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite dissolution of the Club from the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, various contributions have been collected from the members and the same has been misappropriated by the office bearers of the Club. Therefore, the petitioner has given a detailed representation to the respondents for taking action against the office bearers. But the respondents have not taken any action in this regard. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

Considering the limited relief sought in this Writ Petition, the first respondent is directed to conduct enquiry into the complaint given by the petitioner and if the allegations are true the first respondent shall proceed as per law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
