Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to give permission to the petitioner to conduct a cultural program schedule to be held on 13.6.2015 in Arulmigu Shri Mari Amman Temple ground at Asakalathur Post, Kallakuruchi Taluk Villupuram District by considering the petitioner representation dt 23.5.2015. For Petitioner : Mr.S.Udaya Kumar for M/s.Karan and Uday For Respondent : Mr.Rm.Muthukumar Government Advocate.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner claims that he is the resident of Asakalathur Post, Kallakurichi Taluk, Villupuram District and there exists an ancient temple viz., "Arulmigu Shri Mari Amman Temple", and the presiding deity is worshiped by the villagers nearby and a decision has been taken to conduct the temple festival on 13.06.2015 and in connection with the temple festival, song, dance and other cultural programs are sought to be organized and in this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation/application dated 23.05.2015 to the respondent and since he has not been favoured with any kind of response, came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in the event of permission being granted to conduct the song and dance programme, there will not be any law and order problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and hence, prays for appropriate orders.

4. This Court heard the submissions of Mr.Rm.Muthukumar, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondent.
5. Taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the application/representation, this Court, directs the respondent to consider the application/representation dated 23.05.2015, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and not later than 10.06.2015 and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner, forthwith.
