This Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure praying to set aside the order passed by the Learned Special Judge for the cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, Chennai, dated 07.09.2017 made in Crl.M.P.No.1744 of 2017 in C.C.No.129 of 2011 and allow this Criminal Original Petition.

O R D E R

The General Diary maintained by the respondent/Police was dismissed by the Trial Court on the ground that the said application is filed after a lapse of 10 years.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that normally a general diary is maintained only for a period of 5 years, and thereafter it will be destroyed, and in this case, it is not available for production.

3. Taking note of this fact, the Trial Court has dismissed the application and this Court also finds no reason to interfere with the order of the Trial Court. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
