ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent police to provide police protection to the temple festival being held from 05.03.2026 to 06.03.2026 at Shri Arulmigu Muthumaari Amman Thirukovil, situated at Thesavillakku Vadakku Village, Uthampalli Post, Omalur Taluk, Salem District considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.02.2026.

2. The petitioner had given a representation on 18.02.2026 to the third respondent police seeking police protection for the temple festival at Om Kaliamman, Shri Arulmigu Muthumaari Amman Thirukovil, situated at Thesavillakku Vadakku Village, Uthampalli Post, Omalur Taluk, Salem District, scheduled to be held from 05.03.2026 to 06.03.2026.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the third respondent had provided police protection and the temple festival was conducted without any disturbance or obstruction.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that, based on the representation given by the petitioner, requisite police personnel were deputed to ensured that there was no disturbance in the conduct of the temple festival.
