The third party to O.P.No.127 of 1992, who is incidentally in occupation of the property at No.5, Hakkim Ajmalkhan Road, Chokkikulam, Madurai - 2 in Survey No.4795/1 measuring an extent of 2.15 acres owned by M/s.Pudukkottai D.M.Dorai Ranee (alias) Yasothai Piratti Ammal Trust, has filed the present petition seeking extension of the license period for a further period of 15 years.

2. The licensee/applicant is running a school called Sairam Matriculation Higher Secondary School at the aforementioned place. As on date, they are paying lease amount of Rs.35,000/- per month. The petitioner in the O.P. has filed a counter affidavit, which, in fact, gives concurrence for the extension of period of lease of license for a further period of 15 years. But, the only condition which is further stated and insisted upon by the learned counsel is that the lease amount 1/3

should be increased from the existing amount Rs.35,000/- to Rs.50,000/-. This increase would take effect from the month of May, 2024.

3. The other details regarding the license would be the same as was insisted upon at the time of original inception of the petitioner herein. Regarding the payment of advance, there is no change.

4. Recording the above, this application stands allowed. The parties are directed to enter into a separate registered license - cum - lease agreement.
