O R D E R
(Order of the Court made by M.DURAISWAMY,J.) The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition as a Public Interest Litigation to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to remove the illegal encroachment at Pamani Village in S.No.201/1 a pond, viz., a water body, to an extent of 0.05.50 Hectare (5381.955 sq.ft.) and restore to the original status.
2. Mr.J.Ravindran, learned Additional Advocate General, taking notice for the respondents submitted that the 5th respondent would take appropriate steps for removing the encroachment.
3. Mr.T. Bilal Hushain, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in view of the submission made by the learned Additional Advocate General, the Writ Petition may be disposed of.
4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, we grant eight weeks' time to the 5th respondent to survey the land in question and if any encroachment is found in the said land, appropriate steps should be taken to remove the encroachment from the said land.
With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
