Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, praying to direct the respondent police to register the case and take appropriate action as per law, on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 08.01.2016 in C.S.R.No.11 of 2016 and direct the respondent to monitor and to investigate the matter.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to register the case based on the complaint dated 08.01.2016 given by the petitioner and investigate the same.

The petitioner herein lodged a complaint on 08.01.2016 as against one Sheela and Jayaraj stating that they threatened the petitioner with dire consequences when she demanded them to return the money.

Though the complaint has been assigned CSR.No.11 of 2016, till date no action has been taken. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the said Sheela is none other the daughter of the petitioner. However, on receipt of the complaint, the respondent police has assigned C.S.R.No.11 of 2016 and the matter is pending for enquiry.

In view of the submissions made on either side, since a complaint is pending under C.S.R.No.11 of 2016, this Court directs the respondent police to conduct enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 08.01.2016 in C.S.R.No.11 of 2016 and dispose of the same in accordance with law, as early as possible.

This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
