ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction, to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Chidambaram, to dispose the case in C.C.No.22 of 2014 as expeditiously as possible.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the accused in this case are the sister and uncle of the petitioner. The complaint against them is that they have misappropriated the properties of the petitioner to the tune of Rs.15,88,000/- in the year 2013. Thereafter, on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, investigation commenced. In the year 2014, the accused filed a Crl.O.P.No.9935 of 2014, before this Court and the same was dismissed. Thereafter, the case was taken on file in C.C.No.22 of 2014, but till date there is no progress and the trial is yet to commence.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent/police submitted that totally 15 witnesses are listed in this case. Now the case is posted on 21.04.2021 for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

examination of LW.1 to LW.4. Therefore, he submitted that witnesses will be examined within a short time and the trial itself will be completed within a period of four months. 4.Considering the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the Trial Court to complete the trial in C.C. No.22 of 2014 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
