(DRI/CZU/VIII/48/ENQ-01/INT-22.2020) Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to relax the condition imposed on the petitioner viz., (The petitioner shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.00 a.m., until further orders) by its order dated 10/03/2021 and thus render justice.

Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.M.MATHAN RAJ, Advocate for the Petitioner and of MR.N.P.KUMAR, Special Public Prosecutor for DRI Cases on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- This application is filed to relax the condition imposed by this Court against the petitioner directing him to report before the respondent Police daily at 10.30 a.m., until further orders.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the State submitted that the petitioner is complying with the conditions.

4. On perusal of the records it is seen that the petitioner was found in possession of 49.2 Kgs of Psuedo Ephedrine concealed in polythene pouches and kept in between two anda type utensils welded together. Hence, he was arrested and a case was registered under Sections 21, 25A, 28 and 29 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 on the file of the respondent. Though, the petitioner was granted bail on 10.03.2021 on certain conditions, it is only one month has gone and this Court feels it appropriate that the petitioner shall comply with the conditions for some more months.

5. Accordingly, the condition already imposed on the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.3710 of 2021, dated 10.03.2021 is modified and the petitioner is directed to report before the respondent Police, on every Monday at 10.30 a.m. until further orders.

6. This petition is ordered accordingly.
