O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue "Site Visit Certificate" to the petitioner as per the application of the petitioner dated 04.03.2025 in order to submit his bids through online on or before 15:00 Hrs on 11.03.2025 in Tender Notification viz., 1) Tender Notice No.SWDC.No.B1/0147/2025 published dated 14.01.2025 in respect of works in Sl.Nos.25 (Zone 8 & 10), 26 (Zone 8) & 28 (Zone 8) and 2) Tender Notice No.SWDC.No.B3/378/2025 published dated 18.02.2025 in respect of works in Sl.Nos.14 (Zone 8 &10) & 26 (Zone 11) on the file of the 1st respondent.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is registered as a Class-I contractor in the Chennai Corporation. The 1st respondent herein has issued the Tender Notifications on 14.01.2025 and 18.02.2025 regarding storm water drain works. As per the tender notifications, it is notified that the bid must be submitted through online up to 11.03.2025 at 15.00 Hrs in the office of the 1st respondent. Therefore, the petitioner preferred an application to the 1st respondent on 04.03.2025 requesting for Site Visit Certificate for the above works. The usual procedure is that as and when the application is made, the 1st 3/6

respondent will issue a format and Site Visit Certificate will be issued within 2 hours. But this time the respondents did not take any action on his application. He further submitted that he also sent an email request on 09.03.2025, and no action has been taken by the respondents so far. Hence, the writ petition is filed.

3. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the "Site Visit Certificate" will be issued by today (i.e., on 10.03.2025) by the 1st respondent.

4. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the above submissions made by the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents, the 1st respondent is directed to issue the "Site Visit Certificate" to the petitioner by today (i.e., on 10.03.2025).

The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 10.03.2025 cda Index : Yes/No Speaking / Non-Speaking Order 4/6
