Respondents Prayer:- This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records relating to the proceedings of the second respondent in 1996 BCDFGISSSV/2014dated 28/11/2014 against the petitioner's husband Dhamu @ Dhamodaaran, S/o. Elumalai, aged about 38 years and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the detenue who is detained under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 currently confined the Central Prison, Puzhal before this Court and set him at liberty. O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by Dr.Justice S.Tamilvanan) The petitioner, who is the wife of the detenu Dhamu @ Dhamodaran, son of Elumalai, aged about 38 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 28/11/2014 against her husband branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Cyber Law Offenders, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum Grabbers, and Video Pirates Act, 1982(Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982).
2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the husband of the petitioner dated 28/11/2014 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.1197, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XIII) Department dated 19/2/2015 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
