Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, to consider the petitioner representation dated 23.5.2015 and directing the respondent herein to provide permission and necessary police protection in the function to be held on 14.6.2015 as per phamlet published earlier for the said function.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The services of the petitioner is conducting song and dance programme and they have been engaged by the temple festival committee of Arulmighu Shri Kamatchiamman Temple, Rghunathapuram Natham Thriukkupatta Post, Valangaman Taluk, Thiruvarur District and they submitted an application/representation dated 23.05.2015, for conducting song and dance programme on 14.06.2015 in connection with the temple festival and since, they have not been favoured with any response, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, who would submit that though the festival https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

committee is not before this Court, they have given a separate affidavit about the conducting of the festival and hence, prays for appropriate orders.

4. This Court heard the submissions of Mr.R.Vijayakumar learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.

5. Taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, this Court, directs the respondent to consider the application/representation dated 23.05.2015 submitted by the temple festival committee of Arulmighu Shri Kamatchiamman Temple, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and not later than 06.06.2015 and inform the decision taken to the petitioner forthwith.

6. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
