The petition is to quash the FIR for the alleged offence under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code.
2. Today, when the matter was called, the learned counsels for the 2nd respondent has filed an affidavit dated 06.05.2023, mentioning the fact that the dispute between the parties has been settled amicably and the 2nd respondent has decided to withdraw the allegations in the FIR and prayed for quashing of the same on the basis of the compromise.
3. The 2nd respondent is present before this Court and was identified by Mr.G.Yoganandan, Sub Inspector of Police, T-8, Guduvancherry Police Station, Chengalpattu. The affidavit dated 06.05.2023 of the 2nd respondent is taken on record.
4. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the proceedings pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, Guduvanchery Police Station, Chengalpattu District. Hence, the impugned FIR in Crime No.316 of 2021 is quashed. 2/4
