RESPONDENTS Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of Writ of Mandamus, directing the Director of Municipal Administration, Chepauk, Chennai-5, the 2nd respondent herein to consider the claim of the petitioner for regularisation of his services from the date of appointment, namely, 11.11.1988 instead of 20.07.2006 as has been done in a similar case by this Court on 19.10.2012 in W.P.No.48095 of 2006 by passing appropriate orders in the representation submitted on 20.02.2015 within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

In view of the limited prayer made during the course of hearing the Writ Petition, by consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner is a Revenue Assistant as on today in the 3rd respondent Municipality. According to the petitioner, the 3rd respondent recommended for regularisation of his service as early as on 23.11.1995 while he as serving from 1988. petitioner was regularised from 20.07.2006. The petitioner made various representations including the last representation dated 20.02.2015 to the 2nd respondent through speed post seeking to regularise his service from the date of his initial appointment in the light of the order dated 19.10.2012 made in W.P.No.48095/2006. Since the same is not yet considered, the petitioner is before this Court with this Writ Petition.

Now the learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if his representation dated 20.02.2015 is ordered to be considered.

In view of the narrow prayer now made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 20.02.2015, on merits and in accordance with law and also in the light of the orders passed in W.P.No.48095/2006 dated 19.10.2012, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
